FreeCol 0.4.0 Released Print
Thursday, 23 June 2005
This latest release of FreeCol is focused mainly on the improvement of the artificial intelligence and on the addition of new features that allow the player to interact with the natives.
On top of that we've made the game compatible with J2SE 5.0, we did some cosmetic updates and fixed a lot of bugs.

Changes from version 0.4.0-pre are mostly cosmetic updates and bugfixes.

About J2SE 5.0 (or Java 2 version 1.5) Print
Saturday, 13 November 2004
Some of our users have been getting the following error message when trying to run FreeCol 0.3.0:
:1:1: Content is not allowed in prolog
... followed by a stack trace.
This error is due to a change of implementation in Java's XML package and will appear in case the game is ran with Sun's J2SE 5.0 or any of IBM's JREs.
We have fixed the bug in our current development version of FreeCol. This fix will be integrated in the next release of FreeCol, but you can also download the current version from CVS to give it a try (instructions here).
